It's ironic that someone who longs for love lashes out at friends and strangers alike. What can they possibly be thinking? Their actions push others away. The sad truth is that angry people are consumed with fear anout even the tiny details of life. Because of their fear, they intimidate others, thus the love they crave isn't available to them.
The teachings of the Course help us recognize how fear may be motivating a friend or family member. How fortunate for them that we can choose forgiveness and love, rather than retaliation as our response. Offering unconditional love to evryone is always the appropriate response. With friends and lovers, it's not a difficult choice. When mean-spirited or nasty neighbors strike out at us, it's not easy to look beyond their anger. But when we make the effort, we realize the lack of love they feel. That's our cue to acknowledge their appeal appropriately.
It's not easy to look beyond the meanness of others, but I will make the effort to help another person heal today.

·Let
me place my future in the hands of God and pass all anxiety, all pits of hell,
all blackness of depression, thoughts of sin, and devastation brought about by
guilt.
·Let
me place my future in the Hands of God and release the world from all
imprisonment by loosening the heavy chains that locked the door to freedom on
it.
·I
let the future go, and place it in God’s Hands. For the past is gone, and what
is present, freed from its bequest of grief and misery, of pain and loss,
becomes the instant in which time escapes the bondage of illusions where it
runs its pitiless inevitable course.
·What
worry can beset me now that I have given my future to the loving Hands of God?
What can I suffer? What can cause me pain, or bring experience of loss to me?
What can I fear? And what can I regard except with love?
·I
have escaped all fear of future pain and found my way to present peace, and
certainty of care the world can never threaten.
·I
am sure that if my perception is faulty, I will never lack correction. I am
free to choose again when I have been deceived; to change my mind when I have
made mistakes.
I
place my future in the Hands of God and I call the memory of Him to come again,
replacing all my thoughts of sin and evil with the truth of love.

There is a light in you which cannot die, whose presence is so holy that
the world is sanctified because of you.
All things that live bring gifts to you, and offer them in gratitude and
gladness at your feet.
The scent of flowers is their gift to you.
The waves bow down before you, and the trees extend their arms to shield
you from the heat, and lay their leaves before you on the ground that you may
walk in softness, while the wind sinks to a whisper round your holy head.
The light in you is what the universe longs to behold.
All living things are still
before you, for they recognize Who walks with you.
The light you carry is their own. And thus they see in you their
holiness, saluting you as a savior and as God. Accept their reverence, for it
is due to Holiness Itself, which walks with you, transforming in Its gentle
light all things unto Its likeness and Its purity.
This is the way salvation works.
As you step back, the light in you
steps forward and encompasses the world. It heralds not the end of sin in
punishment and death. In lightness and in laughter is sin gone, because its
quaint absurdity is seen. It is a foolish thought, a silly dream, not
frightening, ridiculous perhaps, but who would waste an instant in approach to
God Himself for such a senseless whim?

Let me be humble today, and accept what I have made as what it is.
Let me accept my rightful place as co-creator of the universe.
Let all I think I made disappear.
Let all that there ever was, rise to my awareness.
Let it take the place of self-deceptions made but to usurp the artar to the Father and the Son.
Let me be truly humble, abandoning the false pretense by which the ego seeks to prove it arrogant.
Truth is humble in acknowledging its mightiness, its changelessness and its eternar wholeness, all-encompassing, God's perfect gidt to His beloved Son.
Let me lay aside the arrogance which says I am a sinner, guilty and afraid, ashamed of what I am. Let me lift my heart in true humility instead to Him Who has created me immaculate, like to Himself in power and in love.
